Akwa Ibom Heritage Queen Pays Courtesy Visit To Barr. Temple, Proposes A State Wide Campaign Against Child Abuse

Christy Ukeme paid a courtesy visit to the office of Barr. Temple of Template Legals and Properties, a renowned legal practitioner and advocate for human rights, on Wednesday, January 23, 2025.
During the visit, the Akwa Ibom Heritage Queen sought partnership with Barr. Temple to launch a statewide campaign against child molestation, abuse, rape, and other forms of violence against children.
The Queen, who was accompanied by her team, expressed her concern about the rising cases of child abuse in Akwa Ibom State and the need for collective action to protect the rights and dignity of children.
Barr. Temple, who received the Queen and her team, commended the Queen’s initiative and expressed his willingness to partner with her to combat the aforementioned act.
“We must work together to create a safe and secure environment for our children,” Barr. Temple said. “I am committed to supporting the Akwa Ibom Heritage Queen in this noble cause.”
The partnership, which is expected to be formalized in the coming weeks, will involve a series of awareness campaigns, advocacy programs, and community outreach initiatives aimed at preventing child abuse and supporting victims.
The Akwa Ibom Heritage Queen and Barr. Temple also discussed strategies for engaging with stakeholders, including government agencies, community leaders, and civil society organizations, to ensure a coordinated and effective response to child abuse in the state.
The visit was seen as a significant step towards addressing the scourge of child abuse in Akwa Ibom State, and the partnership between the Akwa Ibom Heritage Queen and Barr. Temple is expected to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our young ones.
